Full Job Description
Weââ(¬â"¢re looking for a talented and experienced Media Sales Manager (Head of Category) who will be responsible for leading a team of ~6 Media Sales individuals and is accountable for ~200 client relationships. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about building and working in a commercially driven, fast paced and dynamic team and is excited to drive growth through a media sales strategy which identifies the role SMEs can play in using Tesco Media advertising solutions to differentiate their brand in Tesco. Focused on selling to our SMEââ(¬â"¢s and accountable for team people management, you will be responsible for our total commercial performance across a designated set of categories and with direct accountability for sales to key clients. You will manage a team who directly sell online and offline retailer media solutions to a wide variety of advertisers. Your team will be accountable for meeting and exceeding targets through offering retailer media solutions across desktop, mobile, programmatic, CRM & stores to leading CPGs. To deliver quality work that meets the clientââ(¬â"¢s needs and addresses their business problems, driving revenue and long-term sustainable commercial growth. To play a leading and inspiring role within the wider media business and regularly be involved with driving self-serve adoption for new clients, as well as driving growth for the top tier clients within your book of business, approaching these with both a customer first and commercial mindset.,
- Own accountability for the management of your teamââ(¬â"¢s sales pipeline & forecast to ensure ambitious quarterly and annual revenue targets are hit or exceeded.
- Own accountability for top 50 clients in your book of business, working with your team on the delivery of end-to-end media sales, driving best-in-class ways of working with the client, identifying where self-serve v managed service is appropriate.
- Lead your team with a motivational and inspirational attitude; own responsibility for day to day management of your team, accountable for performance, development and professional satisfaction.
- Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on our Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues.
- Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and all training needed.
- Passionately advocate and model the delivery of first-class customer service to your client base, holding yourself & your team to the highest standards.
- Pitch confidently, presenting proposals/business cases to clients at a senior level with your team.
- Drive adoption of self-serve and digital first solutions
Someone who has a proven track record of managing large and complex client portfolios and is passionate about working in Retail Media with the UKs largest retailer. - Passionate about and able to build high growth commercial strategies and deliver stretching financial targets, should have strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecast.
- Experience of building and leading a high performing, engaged and fun team who live the dunnhumby values.
- Strong stakeholder management skills ââ(¬â€œ a team player with an ability to build trusted internal and external relationships.
- Experience working with retailers and/or brands. What we expect from you:

- Demonstrated ability to develop a strong sales pipeline, forecast accurately and achieve challenging quarterly and annual sales targets
- Strong experience of team management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and own client relationships
- A breadth of sales experience within retail, media sales and / or agency environments.
- Results-driven, self-motivated and highly goal-oriented in order exceed targets.
- Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable in fast-paced environments.
- A consultative style with the ability to understand clientsââ(¬â"¢ business needs and position solutions in a timely and personalised way.
- Extensive knowledge of brand, performance & digital marketing ecosystems and performance metrics.
- A team player with the ability to collaborate with internal departments and teams
