The Strategy, Policy and International Team supports NICE's Executive Team to define NICE's strategy, build and execute effective plans to implement it, and adapt it to changing circumstances. We ground our work in an understanding of the needs of the health system and the capacity of NICE to meet those needs, and we are responsible for defining and managing significant change across the organisation.

The postholder will lead the Delivery Unit that supports the development and delivery of NICE's business plan. Working as senior member of the Strategy, Policy and International Directorate, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of NICE's strategy and business plan through both efficient, proportionate and insightful governance and reporting processes, and targeted problem solving and PMO support for projects that are critical to the delivery of NICE's business plan., o Governance and Reportingo Supporting Directorates to develop plans that meet the ambition of NICE's strategyo Supporting Directorates to implement best-practice PMO approaches in the delivery of their Directorate Planso Designing effective and efficient governance and reporting mechanisms to drive performance and manage risko Appraising the progress of Directorates to support the Chief Executive, Executive Team and Board to provide adequate scrutiny of plans and performanceo This will include further development and implementation of plans to build capacity and capability in change management, lean and quality improvement techniques to create a culture of continuous improvement

o Priority projectso Providing upfront problem solving support to priority projects which are critical to the delivery of NICE's strategy.o Helping teams frame and break down critical problems, develop reasonable hypotheses, and build a programme of work to test and refine those hypotheseso Providing light-touch PMO support to priority projects to ensure pace is maintained, quality is assured and the work programme is responsive to emerging findingso Acting as a thought leader on priority projects, challenging teams to think beyond the confines of what NICE has traditionally done
