Full Job Description
This role will be a senior member of the Global Employee Engagement and Global Brand and Communications teams. The role will provide leadership and support to shape and drive a step change in the digital channels offering, internally within Diageo. The objective is to significantly drive connectivity, collaboration and reach globally, providing colleagues an internal, digital experience that matches the one they experience in their personal lives. This role reports to the Global Employee Engagement Director. About the role The role requires excellent stakeholder and project management skills, including at the most senior levels within an organisation. The candidate will work directly with key senior partner groups across functions (in particular Digital & Tech) and markets - as a result an ability to build strong relationships at all levels is key. The role-holder will also need to be a highly collaborative, great teammate with a bias for action, data-driven measurement mind set, and a strong ability to drive impactful change. Financial The candidate will manage relevant lines within the Global Employee Engagement budget and influence investment with a focus on digital channels and employee experiences. Third-party agency selection and management is an essential aspect of the role, with a focus on digital and technology platforms. Additional budget management is required for special projects as appropriate. Market Complexity Sitting within the Global Employee Engagement team, the role leads the design and delivery of Diageo's internal channel strategy with a focus on digital. The candidate will need to have a strong understanding of Diageo's audiences and how we can engage with them, in order to drive reach, connectivity and enhanced collaboration. The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of the latest in digital channel strategy, with the ability to navigate a step-change in reach and connective through employee communications channels for Diageo's audiences globally. Leadership Responsibilities Senior member of the employee engagement team responsible for leading strategy and delivery of high-profile projects to improve digital channels and employee experience at Diageo. While not a direct line manager, the role-holder will also need to lead other team members on specific projects, in particular the Employee Engagement Partner - Digital. Role Responsibilities
- Lead and drive global internal digital channels strategy, modernising how we communicate and ensuring content quality and brand compliance while maintaining reach and sustaining channel engagement.
- Own internal digital channels that are employee facing ensuring strong governance and act as a centre of excellence, providing strategic advice on standard process in the space of digital to drive enhancements across all parts of Diageo.
- Partner with Digital & Tech to ensure enterprise technologies are integrated with our channel mix and maximise opportunities that digital collaboration tools bring, as well as accountable for ensuring the Global Engagement Team are provided with support to deliver digital channel strategy.
- Partner with external technology vendors and form a strategic partnership maximising understanding of the products/features, influencing product roadmaps, and continually upskilling digital capability within the GEE and GBC team.
- Champions data driven measurement attitude across the GEE Team, coaching and inspiring others to deliver impactful and engaging campaigns that achieve measurable impact and objectives.
- Externally curious and always looking to the future and further developments in digital in order to inspire teams to adopt new, more modern ways of communicating.
- Collaborate with wider team to maximise use of external social channels to reach and engage colleagues, as part of digital channels strategy
- Champion quality content creation that is brand compliant as well as user-generated content, and share what good looks like to drive shift in how we democratise content across Diageo
- Lead on generating digital channels insights, benchmarking content performance, and ensuring that we experiment and learn as we go with data-driven decisions.
- Lead on audiences and personas, helping us understand the needs of our colleagues and adapt our digital channels strategy accordingly.
Proven track-record in successfully leading internal, digital channels strategy within a large, complex organisation - Outstanding partner management skills with a proven ability to operate in an advisory capacity to C-suite executives with a view to achieve brilliant outcomes
- Strong understanding of the latest in digital tools and platforms, as well as the ability to horizon scan and move organisation forward in terms of what's next in digital
- Strong understanding of change management and how to drive culture change.
- Experience leading, inspiring, and influences others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong project management skills and ability to navigate and translate the nuances of digital and technology with communications and brand.
- Experience in - autonomously - identifying, managing and negotiating with third parties, ensuring that we get the best out of agency and technology vendor relationships
- A self-started and ability to work independently, without supervision.
