Full Job Description
The Head of Digital Delivery will be a pivotal role within our IT department. Reporting directly to the Head of Group IT, this individual will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our business functions and the digital technology landscape. The role aims to ensure that all systems used across the business meet GBGs expected standards, whilst delivering an exceptional team member experience by managing continuous improvement and change through our platforms.,
- Work closely with various business functions to understand their business needs and translate these into digital solutions.
- Ensure that digital technology enhances the team member experience, making it intuitive, accessible, and efficient.
- Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders regarding their digital technology requirements and queries. System Standards and Compliance:
- Take overall responsibility for GBG's internal business systems.
- Ensure all systems used across the business adhere to GBGs expected standards and align with IT and security policy.
- Conduct regular reviews of existing systems to ensure continued compliance and effectiveness. Technology Enablement and User Training
- Enable and empower users to understand and effectively utilise the technology available to them.
- Develop and deliver plans to maximize user engagement and proficiency with digital tools and platforms.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new platforms and technologies that enhance business operations and team member experience. Team Leadership and Strategy Development
- Initially manage a team of six individuals focusing on a select group of systems, with a view to expanding the team and its scope.
- Create a strategic plan to broaden the scope and influence of the IT department within the business.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development. Business Relationship Management · Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration and communication. · Act as a liaison between the IT department and business functions, ensuring alignment on objectives and priorities. · Gather and analyse feedback from business functions to inform and improve technology services and solutions. Platform Management and Technology Services
- Oversee the management and configuration of digital platforms, ensuring they meet business needs and performance expectations.
- Provide comprehensive technology services to the business, from system implementation to ongoing support and maintenance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in digital technology, applying relevant insights to enhance our technology services.
Experience within IT management or a similar role, with a strong focus on digital technology delivery. - Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with a track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategies.
- Strong understanding of IT and security policy standards, with experience in compliance and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
