Full Job Description

+ The Head of Nursing for Cancer Services will provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing teams across our cancer services.
+ You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to cancer patients, overseeing the implementation of clinical practices, and driving continuous improvements in the quality and safety of services.
+ You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, promoting a culture of excellence, compassion, and patient-centred care.
+ Lead on delegated Divisional projects to support the development, implementation and monitoring of the Nursing, Quality Improvement, Patient Experience and Workforce Strategies within the Division.
+ Work collaboratively with other Heads of Nursing from within the Trust to support nursing workforce activities to increase recruitment and retention of Nursing and Care staff., + The Head of Nursing will report directly to the Divisional Director of Nursing and Governance and will provide senior nursing leadership to the service.
+ Working as part of the senior nursing leadership team provide future strategic nursing objectives, be a role model in maintaining high standards of clinical care and safety to improve patient and carers experience.
+ Provide professional senior leadership for nursing on behalf of the organisation.
+ Deputise for the Divisional Director of Nursing and Governance across all aspects of service when called upon to do so providing leadership continuity.
+ Establish key objectives and personal development plans to enhance team and individual performance within the service and the division.
