The Critical CNS is a fast-paced dynamic leadership role within the division responsible for assisting in the delivery of person-centred clinical care and development of innovation in both the design and delivery of person-centred care in Critical Care context.

The CNS takes a lead role in guiding patients and their families through the critical illness journey from admission to follow up clinic.

The CNS advocates for the patients and their families ensuring that their voices are heard by the whole of the MDT.

University College Hospital (UCH) has a large general adult ICU mostly taking emergency patients from the ED and general wards (working closely with our 24 / 7 outreach team), as well as tertiary referrals from across Britain and abroad.
