Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Health Improvement Specialist to join the South West London Bowel Cancer Screening team, based at St George's Hospital, for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Our centre provides bowel screening services to residents of Wandsworth, Sutton, Merton, Croydon, Kingston, Richmond and Twickenham.
You will join an established cohesive multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for delivering health promotion initiatives to improve participation in the programme particularly amongst communities with lower uptake.
You will be organised, proactive and motivated to achieve the best outcomes for our population. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a practical mindset. The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders is essential., Be responsible for providing health promotion expertise to deliver improvements in health outcomes and reductions in health inequalities in the population area, based on evidence and cost effectiveness.
To maintain and further develop a co-ordinated programme of work to ensure effective uptake of the screening programme and raise awareness of bowel cancer screening across the South West London area.
To continue developing the implementation of the Learning Disability Referral Pathway across South West London to ensure equal opportunity for screening across all communities.
