Full Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Higher Executive Analyst to join our Finance and Business Services (FaBS) Directorate.
In this key role, you will get to help establish a strong analytical and modelling function within a high impact / complex area of HMLR to improve its use of data to drive continuous improvement. Supported by highly engaged leaders, you will use your expertise to own the development and delivery of high-quality MI and analytical/modelling insight in conjunction with your area, while undertaking priority tasks that meet the needs of the wider group., Working with the sub-team lead and working closely with colleagues across the group, you will work effectively in the development of high impact, various complex management information systems and provide analytical/modelling insight that will support delivery either on a broad scale or overseeing more complex topics (such as requisitions and waste or staff wellbeing) in order to support senior decision-making that will drive both continuous improvement and behavioural change., We'll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process:

+ Delivering at Pace, The sift will take place shortly after the closing date. If successful at shortlisting stage, you will be invited to attend a virtual blended interview and assessment. This will consist of a GORS (Government Operational Research Service) specific assessment, being an analytical exercise and presentation of your findings, and a blended interview which will test the Technical skills and Behaviours listed in the Vacancy Description within the attached Candidate Pack.

To be successful in this role you must have relevant skills, knowledge and application of Operational Research (OR) techniques and/or relevant qualifications to allow badging to join GORS (Government Operational Research Service) in an analytical profession.
You will have experience of senior stakeholder engagement, understanding needs and managing expectations, along with demonstrable experience of working under time and resource pressure to produce analytical quality assurance.
A good team working ethos is key to this role, along with effective communication skills enabling you to present analysis with impact.
Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable., + Experience of senior stakeholder engagement to understand needs and manage expectations;
+ Good experience of analytical quality assurance under time and resource pressure;
+ Good team working ethos and strong communication skills particularly in the presentation of analysis with impact.
