Full Job Description

This post offers exciting opportunities within the NY and Y CAMHS Service. We are seeking to appoint a psychology graduate with previous experience as an assistant psychologist to work into our Harrogate Community CAMHS Team.

CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) offers mental health support to children and young people from 6 to 18 years of age., The post holder will promote the recovery and wellbeing of our service users within a trauma informed framework, during their journey towards discharge. Their core role will involve contributing to mental health assessment and formulation, supporting the team in using psychological and behavioural interventions (e.g. CBT skills), providing low intensity interventions, being a part of the ADHD assessments, promoting staff-wellbeing and involvement in Co creation.

The successful applicant will have a first class or upper second-class degree in psychology, and previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist. In addition, they will beenthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about improving the emotional wellbeing and quality of life of children and young people, and have an ability to be flexible and adaptive when responding to demands of the service. They will be working as part of a friendly and dynamic multi-disciplinary team under direct supervision from an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
