Full Job Description
A unique opportunity has arisen for a part time Band 7 highly specialist Physiotherapist to join the team at North West Anglia Foundation trust. This is a developing and exciting role within the paediatric therapy service to offer comprehensive neonatal physiotherapy assessment and treatment. The post holder will work within a passionate neonatal AHP neonatal team supported by the paediatric therapy team and wider MDT. The role will play a key part in delivering developmentally informed care, impacting on the lives of high-risk infants., The Highly Specialist physiotherapist working with the Paediatric Therapy Team develops the quality of the clinical service and staff that deliver it. The post holder will work using an enhanced level of practice applying specialist knowledge and skills in the field of Paediatric and Neonatal physiotherapy. Working within the neonatal multi-disciplinary team they will assess and treat a specialist complex caseload of patients and make clinical decisions for treatment plans. They will act as the profession specific lead to support the training and development of the clinical staff within the Paediatric therapy team and wider multidisciplinary team. To lead on service development, audit and assist in research initiatives to deliver on best practice evidence-based care in line with trust and national priorities. They will be responsible for the delivery of key quality performance indicators linked to providing high quality care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to lead this service across our hospital's neonatal unit and special care baby unit. The post holder will be required to work at Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke Hospital sites. You must have demonstrated a strong clinical background in paediatric and or neonatal physiotherapy, working within the acute and or community environment. This post offers the opportunity to work with East of England Operational Delivery Network group for neonatal care for high-risk premature babies. There is expectation that the post holder will have a strong interest in service development, audit and research.
