Full Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to cover the 12-month maternity leave Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist for The Orthopaedic Therapy Team. The post is 0.8 WTE and involves cross site working at both the Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke sites with flexibility being vital. The Team is based across 2 sites: elective surgery at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Trauma Orthopaedics at Peterborough City Hospital. The successful candidate will work alongside The Orthopaedic Therapy Service Lead and Highly Specialist Therapists and should role model excellent leadership, communication and resilience skills. The role will require effective time management to balance the operational responsibilities as well as the clinical demands of a busy and demanding orthopaedic caseload. They are responsible for the delivery of human resource key quality performance indicators. Fixed term, acting up and internal secondments will all be considered. If you have a disability and require accommodations, please get in touch so we can discuss and determine if a reasonable adjustment, such as a virtual interview, can be made., In addition to the managerial responsibilities the post holder will work using an enhanced level of clinical practice applying specialist knowledge and skills in the field of orthopaedics. They will assess and treat a specialist complex caseload of patients across both the elective and trauma services. The post holder will contribute to service development, audit and research to deliver on best practice evidence-based care in line with trust and national priorities in collaboration with the Orthopaedic Therapy Service Lead and Highly Specialist Therapists. Healthcare is a 7-day service and therefore the expectation will be for you to support our Orthopaedic weekend service
