Full Job Description

  • Support departments and data owners to improve data compliance across the organisation.
  • Assist the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Assistant DPO in developing and reviewing compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote data protection by design, data integrity, and a culture of compliance through advice and guidance.
  • Standardise and embed data management processes, fostering a culture of data privacy awareness.
  • Understand data processing operations, including their business applications and regulatory impacts.
  • Help maintain Records of Processing Activity (ROPA), supporting data stewards and owners.
  • Handle data protection tasks such as Subject Access Requests, DPIAs, and incident management.
  • Support delivery of Data Protection training and provide advice across the organisation.
  • Collaborate on new projects to minimise risk and ensure compliance.
  • Raise awareness and support staff with data protection and compliance issues.
  • Ensure data compliance remains a high priority across the organisation.

    Experience with UK GDPR compliance, including handling complaints, breaches, and security incidents.
  • A degree in a data-related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Skilled in managing information requests and DPIAs.
  • Record management experience.
  • Accountable decision-making with consideration of impacts and implications.
  • Ability to handle concerns and requests regarding customer and staff data.
