Laboratory Assistant - Stourton

As a Laboratory Assistant at our Stourton Dairy, the successful candidate will analyse and evaluate products and materials to check and ensure that quality and approved analysis standards are met. They will independently follow established processes providing day-to-day support necessary to ensure delivery of operational targets Duties will also include:

• Conducting tests to analyse products and materials.
• Collecting samples from across the site/register them and sending them out for analysis.
• Interpreting results of analyses and escalating non-conformance issues as required.
• Creating action plans for non-conformances and follow it up according to procedures.
• Communicating and reporting results to the relevant department.
• Ensuring that instrumentation is functioning and calibrated and that verified methods are used
• Ensuring laboratory stock is always available.
• Undertake "Good Manufacturing Practice" audits across site to raise and maintain standards ready for External Audit visits throughout the year.
  
  A strong sense of professional integrity and a passion for producing high quality work
• An attention to detail to ensure all recording is 100% accurate
• The ability to communicate effectively with external and internal teams
• Experience of Microbiological testing is desirable.
• If you have manufacturing/ food manufacturing experience, that's great. If not, we can coach you.
• Good or advanced Microsoft Office experience
• Previous experience of data analysis would be advantageous but not essential
• Solid team player who is happy to contribute to the common success of the business.
• Self-motivated and excellent communicator
