Full Job Description

We are pleased to go to market for a new Lab Tester. In this role you will play a vital part in providing routine environmental testing for the Bradford site What you'll be doing as a Lab Tester

  • Sample analysis
  • Standard/Quality Control/Eluent solution preparations
  • Input Results on relevant databases / spreadsheets
  • Ensure relevant AQC standards and proficiency samples are being run and that the output is suitable
  • Carry out and document appropriate daily/weekly/monthly checks.
  • Maintain the Quality Management System
  • Identify any improvements upon existing lab procedures or assessments as required.
  • Participate in Internal/External Audits and Proficiency Testing Schemes
  • Carry out meaningful 5S /EH&S/housekeeping inspections with actions identified and acted upon and follow site and departmental Safety Processes.

    GSCE's in English, Maths and a Science
  • A basic working knowledge of BS EN 17025 procedures would be an advantage
  • A basic understanding of a quality systems preferred
  • Basic analytical laboratory skills
  • Good oral/written communication skills.
  • Organise/ prioritise workload of self to handle simultaneous tasks.
  • Competent IT skills e.g., Excel/ Word/Outlook or equivalent packages.
