As the Lead for People Development, you will be at the forefront of helping shape careers and creating an outstanding experience for our staff at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

From induction into the organisation and throughout career transitions, you will ensure colleagues have every resource needed to excel, supporting career development, and shaping existing and future managers and leaders by championing apprenticeships, and designing cutting-edge, evidence-based programs that encourage growth and innovation.

We are dedicated to building a motivated, skilled and engaged workforce committed to delivering the Best Care for Everyone, and the role of Lead for People Development is pivotal in achieving that, The Education and People Development Service at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT) is currently undertaking a full-scale review of its services and the provision each provides, supporting its commitment to provide the trust and colleagues with relevant, up-to-date, evidence-based education, learning and development opportunities. The Lead for People Development will support the Head of Education and People Development through realignment processes and conversations, leading change management as required to ensure the People Development provision within the Education and People Development Service meets the needs of both the organisation and our staff, and promotes a positive and supportive education, learning and workforce development culture.

The Lead for People Development will lead and manage education, learning and development teams, apprenticeship and careers, leadership and management development, induction, and business administration. As a senior member of the Education and People Development team you will ensure that the interventions provided by the teams are aligned to the Trust strategic priorities, underpinned by a strong evidence base, and can demonstrate a measurable impact on staff experience, behavioural change, KPIs and help to create a safe and compassionate culture.

I am delighted you are interested in joining our organisation as Lead for People Development. Working within the Education and People Development Service which is within People and OD, offers a clearly structured and dependable team to support you in leading on meaningful and impactful work for our organisation and colleagues.

We are committed to the development of a learning culture and continually improving staff experience in support of providing the Best care for Everyone.
