We are welcoming applications for the role of Data Quality Advisor with Devon & Cornwall Police based at the following location(s): Camborne, Police Headquarters, Exeter, Type of working arrangement: Hybrid Worker - Hybrid working is a form of flexible working where workers spend some of their time working remotely (usually, but not necessarily, from home) and some in the employer's workspace. Hours per week: this role is 1 x 37 and 1 x 25.5 hours per week. However we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need. Allowances: This role attracts no allowances. About the role: Information is the lifeblood of modern-day policing. High quality data is essential to allow operational decisions to be made as efficiently and effectively as possible and to reduce risks to victims and witnesses. This role within the Alliance Information Management Department is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist team in Devon and Cornwall Police to ensure information held in Police systems is fit for purpose and complies with data protection legislation and data standards. This role is required to undertake the first line of decision making in the determination of a records data quality or retention status. Responsibilities include identifying and rectifying potential data flaws and duplicate records; and providing bespoke advice as a subject matter expert regarding information standards, data quality and the review, retention and disposal of information. As part of this role, successful candidates will have the opportunity to complete a Nationally recognised Records Management Certification. Additional Information about the role: Type of working arrangement: Hybrid -Worker - within the initial induction period and until deemed competent within the role the successful candidate is to work from the Office. The post will be termed as a Hybrid-Worker with location options being Middlemoor HQ Exeter or Camborne. Want to know more about this role? Further detail regarding this role and the essential requirements can be found within the role profile attached below., Dual working: This role will require the post holder to travel to alternative locations on an ad hoc basis to undertake the role, travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with force policy., The selection for this role will consist of Shortlisting, Interview. Following the shortlisting you will be notified of the recruitment decision via email along with feedback on your application. If successful, you will then be invited to an interview. This will be based on the behaviours outlined within the role profile. The interview process is due to take place week commencing 3 March 2025. Some roles may also require an assessment and / or fitness test. Further information on this will be provided following the shortlisting process. The assessment and / or fitness test date will be and if applicable, otherwise N/A. Pre-requisites: If you are successful through the selection stage of the recruitment process, we will make a conditional offer of appointment and commence pre-requisite checks. These checks can include:
