Full Job Description

Are you a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with a passion for education and training? Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and coordinate the education and training of our Pharmacy Technicians and Support Staff at Yeovil District Hospital.,

  • Lead the development and implementation of education and training strategies for pharmacy technicians and support staff in line with national standards.
  • Organise, develop, and oversee formal training programs including apprenticeship schemes and qualifications in areas such as Medicines Optimisation and Final Accuracy Checking.
  • Collaborate with senior pharmacy staff and external healthcare providers to enhance training programs and ensure they meet departmental needs.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to trainees, ensuring they meet their educational targets.
  • Act as the line manager for apprentice pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.
