Full Job Description
We are looking for a Leakage Detection Supervisor to join Thames Water permanently. This role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day performance management of our leak detection partners, supervising the effective delivery of leakage targets in the field for the Thames Valley and home counties. This ever-changing and fast-paced role allows you to work in a business area that is high on the Thames Water agenda.
- You will be based out of one of our Depots in TV&HC regions - Kidlington, Reading, Swindon or Godalming.
- You will be expected to travel to a range of sites in your region regularly so a full UK driving license is required. What you will be doing as a Leakage Detection Supervisor? Supervising the performance of the leakage detection teams and partners, you will be accountable for the following:
- Manage the quality assurance, conducting regular site audits and desktop studies to ensure the quality of leakage detection work.
- Direct day-to-day supervision ensuring that targets and service level agreements are achieved within the specified time.
- Have a zero-compromise attitude to health and safety.
- Collating, producing, and analysing reports on leakage detection, identifying any trends and producing challenging yet achievable operational objections for the leakage detection teams.
- Travel around your designated region, liaising with the field-based teams.
- Recommend and, when required, implement efficiency improvements to outperform budget and delivery plan.
- Recommend and support changes to end-to-end processes to assist in effective and efficient delivery of repair performance.
- Support the contract performance manager to implement corrective action plans and supervise ad-hoc audits.
- Working closely with a range of stakeholders, you will also report on data, analyse trends, and ensure suitable objectives are actioned as a result.
You will have demonstrable experience within the area of leakage detection as well as having worked within a performance supervisory role. - You must be confident liaising with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation, so experience in this area is key.
- You will be analytical in your approach and must be confident in manipulating data to deliver efficiencies and continuous improvement. A proactive and efficient manner is essential as is the ability to always use your initiative.
- A resilient attitude and flexibility in an ever-changing environment are also crucial. This is a vital regulatory output which is high on the business agenda so experience within a similar role is fundamental.
- Due to the nature of the role, you will be travelling around your geographical region so a clean, full UK driving licence is required.
