The University's School of Allied and Public Health Professions is the University's academic and professional home for the Allied Health Professions, and for all those interested in improving public health and well-being. Our mission is to facilitate, educate and innovate to improve lives. We achieve this through our research, and by providing a portfolio of courses and other learning opportunities that are creative, inspirational and empowering, and which develop knowledge, policy and practice. Our research work within the School focuses on the improvement of health and care services, health and well-being by co-producing solutions in close collaboration with service users and other stakeholders.

We offer an exciting portfolio of applied healthcare courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels alongside internationally renowned applied research in implementation and diagnostic practice and policy. The School provides courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels for the Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Medical Ultrasound, Clinical Reporting, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science, Speech & Language Therapy, Operating Department Practice, Ophthalmic Dispensing professions. In addition we offer courses that reflect a Public Health perspective around health promotion, mental health and global public health. We have exciting plans for the growth of both our educational and research programmes and are keen to attract people who share our ambitions to make a difference.

The Role

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a new MSc Dietetics course, working as part of a dedicated and forward-thinking team. This role is ideal for a dynamic and experienced professional who is passionate about shaping the next generation of dietitians and preparing them for meaningful and impactful careers in healthcare.

As the Lecturer for the MSc Dietetics, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing this innovative programme, ensuring it delivers educational excellence, meets stakeholder needs, and equips students with the skills and knowledge to excel in their profession., While much of the work can be completed remotely, you will spend the majority of working time on campus, aligning with programme development, student engagement, and stakeholder meetings to support the high-quality delivery of this MSc Dietetics course. Remote work can be arranged occasionally based on the nature of specific tasks or planning periods, but an on-campus presence is expected for key activities.

We are seeking a qualified dietitian (or equivalent standard) with substantial experience in curriculum design, ideally within higher education or professional dietetic training. This role is perfect for a proactive and creative leader with a strong vision for high-quality, evidence-based education. The ability to engage effectively with students, stakeholders, and accrediting bodies, along with a commitment to fostering innovative teaching and learning practices, is essential.

Key attributes for success in this role include strong communication and organisational skills, a proactive approach to programme development, and a passion for excellence in education. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes is highly desirable.
