Join our experienced team of seven Consultant Plastic Surgeons, supported by Specialty Registrars, Resident Doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and a dedicated nursing team. This locum consultant position (10 PA) offers the chance to contribute to a sub-regional unit renowned for clinical excellence and innovation.

The Role:
+ Deliver emergency plastic surgery services, including a one-week-in-eight trauma service rotation., The Plastic Surgery unit at Bradford is a sub-regional unit providing a trauma service for the patients of Bradford, Airedale, Calderdale and Huddersfield. It accepts a large number of emergency hand and plastic trauma injuries serving a population of around 1 million.
In addition for the duration of this post will provide support to the middle grade doctors for the provision of trauma surgery and minor local anaesthetic surgery. It is expected that the appointee would provide flexible cover for annual leave.
A commitment to audit and clinical governance and risk management is mandatory.
It is expected that the post holder will actively participate in leading the training and assessment of Junior Doctors. The duties are subject to review and maybe varied according to changing requirements of the service., + The post-holder will be expected to provide a range of core plastic surgery acute & elective services
+ The post-holder will provide appropriate elective Hand and Paed Plastic Surgery services
+ The post-holder will attend the appropriate multidisciplinary team meetings
+ The post-holder will undertake emergency plastic surgery services over 7 days per week as per rota.
+ A commitment to the Trust's clinical governance and risk strategy is mandatory.
