Full Job Description

Loss adjusters have the job of thoroughly investigating a claim, determining if payment is warranted, negotiating a financial settlement, and authorising payments to the Insured. Once the Insured makes a claim on their insurance policy, you will first investigate the claim in order to determine if the claim is legitimate and whether the policy covers the damage/loss.,

  • Work closely with the team to develop the existing Cyber business for current clients and identify and bring in new business, and to build new relationships and networks both internally and externally.
  • Receiving and acknowledging new claims.
  • Undertaking site visits and meeting with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties when required.
  • Preparing preliminary reports commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim including legal and policy liability considerations, potential quantum and future actions.
  • Instructing and controlling surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists and other Experts as necessary
  • Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communications.
  • Calculating and agreeing settlement of claims and preparing final reports.
  • Be an integral part to develop the London market and international cyber footprint and brand profile.
  • Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

    Experience in Cyber claims handling.
  • Interest and enthusiasm in the Specialty Lines/Cyber claims handling business.
  • Ideally ACII qualified or keen to study for ACILA qualification (full support provided).
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable approach to work is essential.
  • The ability to build professional relationships quickly.
  • Effective diary management.
  • Attention to detail and able to work under pressure with conflicting demands.
  • Strong organisation and IT skills.
  • The ability to plan and manage workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Be confident and articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
