Full Job Description

Overview of role: This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional SEN Manny with experience supporting individuals with Autistic Spectrum Condition to join a household with twin boys. The role requires flexibility, as the boys' needs change daily, with the current schedule involving 4.5 working days per week and occasional 24-hour shifts when their mother is away (with notice). You will also be expected to travel with the family and work at least two weekends per month. A strong background in supporting teenagers or young adults with neurological conditions is essential. The focus will be on fostering the boys' independence, life skills, and encouraging them to participate in stimulating activities like cooking classes and visits to water parks. You will also be responsible for promoting good nutrition and liaising with their Occupational Therapist to incorporate therapy into their daily routine. Experience with administering medication is important, as the boys may require it. Adaptability is crucial since their energy levels and moods can vary, and plans may change at short notice. Your experience and proactive approach will help you gauge their individual needs and build a strong, supportive relationship with them. Essential: Two years experience supporting teenagers with Neurological Conditions, experience supporting teenagers with behaviours that may challenge. Strong interest in sports. Good cooking skills and ability to maintain dietary needs and a scheduled meal plan for health and diabetes. Willingness to travel abroad, valid passport! Strong IT skills.
