Manual Handling and Ergonomics Advisor

An exiting opportunity has arisen for a Manual Handling and Ergonomics Advisor. As a subject matter expert, the post holder will take a lead on providing advice across the trust and lead a training programme for department Risk Assessors., The Manual Handling and Ergonomic Advisor will provide concise, timely and impartial advice, guidance and support to managers and staff to ensure the effectiveness of the Trust's arrangements for promoting safe handling & work activities.

As subject matter expert, the post holder will lead the trust towards compliance with legislation specifically Manual Handling Operations and Display Screen Equipment Regulations. The post holder will be responsible for delivery of the Manual Handling section of the health and safety action plan and will work with specialist leads to develop a standardised approach to delivering Manual Handling related tasks in the Trust. The post holder will also be responsible for the design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation of the manual handling risk assessment training programme across the trust and will work alongside the Head of Health & Safety Services to further develop the requirements., people and vulnerable adults.
