MBA Fixed Income Investment Analyst Summer Associate (Europe)

Capital Group seeks bright, highly motivated and self-directed individuals for Fixed-Income Investment Analyst internship opportunities in Los Angeles and London. As a summer associate, you will conduct fundamental research on issuers in a segment of the bond market and research related fixed-income securities, with the objective of presenting an investment thesis and recommendation to an audience of portfolio managers and analysts., We collect different data at different stages of the recruitment process. The data we collect can include, but is not limited to, the following,

• Regulatory body data. Approved person status by the UK FCA, license or authorization to conduct investment business, disciplinary action by a regulator.
• Prior employment data. Dismissal or resignation from an employer, legal restrictions on employment with CG, current or disqualified directorships.
• Identification. Your passport, which includes gender, birth date, and other identifying data.
• Credit and criminal records.   MBA degree candidate with a graduation date of December 2023 or May/June 2024 from an accredited university, or business school
• Demonstrated academic achievement
• Ability to direct independent work effort in a cooperative environment
• Grasp of macro and micro economics and a curiosity about the bond market
• Healthy appetite for research, writing and business travel

Your analysis will incorporate a blend of macro (political, economic, sector/industry) and micro (issuer-specific financial, legal/structural, security-specific) considerations, which you will synthesize with bond valuations. You will be guided in your work by an investment analyst, although you will be largely self-directed in your approach and conclusions. Throughout the summer, you will learn more about investment management, and have access to the industry's most respected investment professionals. Your internship with Capital will provide you with hands-on experience similar to that of a full-time analyst., In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
