As our next Governance Lead, you'll support the leadership of the Managing Director's Office (MDO), stepping in for the Head as needed and managing key interfaces. Your responsibilities include assisting the Managing Director of Hinkley Point C in senior-level interactions with EDF Group, the Government, and other stakeholders. You'll oversee operational relationships with the Low Carbon Contract Company and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, focusing on project progress and risk. Additionally, you'll ensure regulatory compliance across HPC, establish assurance processes, and contribute to strategic risk tracking and performance reporting., Here, we do right by each other and everyone's welcome. What you will be doing By collaborating closely with Delivery Risk teams and Programme Directors, you'll monitor, report, and assess risk mitigation efforts and understand their impact on KPIs and milestones. With a comprehensive grasp of HPC's team dynamics, you'll work side-by-side with the Head of the MD's Office to collect and share insights that drive targeted action within the team. Building strong relationships with delivery teams and departments, you'll ensure coordinated, strategic alignment with the MD's Office and Strategic Reporting Lead, fostering streamlined communication and intelligence-sharing that amplifies the team's success. Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic support to the HPC MD, collaborating closely with the team to develop materials for high-level interactions with EDF Group, Government, and other senior stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing the MD for key HPC site visits and major stakeholder interactions, ensuring that all supporting materials align with project priorities.
- Support the oversight of non-nuclear regulatory compliance, ensuring first-line assurance processes are consistently established and followed.
- Conduct independent assessments of non-nuclear regulatory risk areas, reviewing and validating the implementation of any required changes to strengthen compliance.
- Coordinate external assessments by shareholders and other key parties, managing documentation, and ensuring essential personnel are available for smooth assessment processes.
- Actively contribute as a collaborative team player, focusing on shared goals and fostering a supportive team environment.
