Modelling & Simulation Capability Planning Group Desk Officer

Day to day responsibility for coordinating the designated M&S programme/project plans.
Chair designated programmes/projects Capability Working Groups for developing requirements and report risks and issues.
Work with customers, delivery teams and Service Commands to ensure best prioritisation of current M&S resources and tracking the progress of designated programmes/projects.
Monitor the financial expenditure of designated programmes/projects contracts.
Engage with Innovation, Science & Technology areas within the MOD, Industry, Academia and Allies to identify and investigate the development of M&S enablers using emerging technologies.
Engage with M&S desk officers in Service Commands (including Technical Authorities) to support capability and technical coherence between the different M&S capabilities across the MOD.
Support the development of coherent and affordable capability strategy and plans for the management of M&S capabilities.
Where required, represent UKStratCom Cap C4ISTAR as a member of the M&S Capability Planning Group at external engagement opportunities.
Represent the UK as a technical member of the NATO Modelling & Simulation Group (NMSG), to inform the development of NATO M&S.
