Newborn Hearing Screener - Peterborough

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with the hearing screening of new-born babies within Peterborough City Hospital.We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is organized and methodical to join our 'family-friendly' and dedicated Newborn Hearing Screening team based at Peterborough City Hospital, working within NWAFT . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as good computer skills are required. Experience of working in a hospital environment and baby handling skills are desirable.You will be required to perform the hearing screen, record and collect data and liaise with parents and professionals.,

• To promote a professional, welcoming, and caring environment endorsing a Family Friendly approach to care within a small team of new-born hearing screeners at Peterborough City Hospital.
• This role encompasses work on a busy and dynamic postnatal care settings as well as the neonatal intensive care unit and community settings.
• To provide the new-born hearing screening programme in line with the NHS screening commissioned services.
• The post holder will be fully trained whilst undertaking the role and will be supported to complete a level 3 NVQ programme specific to the new-born hearing screening programme.
