The opportunity

As a member of the Onshore Wind Asset Operations Leadership Team, you will lead the Asset Management of a portfolio of onshore wind farms owned by various investors. Managing a team of Senior Asset Managers and Asset Managers, you will develop and oversee business plans, ensuring asset performance aligns with strategic objectives.

Collaborating closely with internal O&M teams and external O&M partners, you will drive optimization of performance and returns, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will oversee a range of operational, commercial, and financial activities associated with the operational portfolio, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with investor boards and key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

You will act as a key member of the Onshore Wind Asset Operations Leadership Team, taking responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of onshore wind farms owned by various investors.

- Lead and develop a team of Senior Asset Managers and Asset Managers, fostering a high-performing culture to ensure the team delivers on business objectives and optimizes asset performance.
- Shape, implement, and monitor strategic business plans to maximize the operational efficiency and financial returns of the portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with internal O&M teams and external O&M partners, building strong relationships to drive performance optimization, enhance reliability, and ensure continuous improvement across the portfolio.
- Oversee the operational, commercial, and financial aspects of the wind farms, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices while delivering value to stakeholders.
- Act as a key liaison with investor boards and stakeholders, providing transparent updates, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment on portfolio strategies and performance.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance asset management processes, contributing to the long-term success of the portfolio and the wider organization.

You will hold a university degree in engineering or a business discipline, or possess equivalent qualifications combined with extensive experience in asset management for generation assets. They will have completed Institute of Asset Management training to Certificate or Diploma level and demonstrate a strong understanding of the commercial drivers of high performance, supported by technical competence. Experience in an energy company, advisory, or investment group managing a portfolio of assets or sites is essential, along with a solid understanding of energy markets, policies, regulations, and renewable generation opportunities. A background in project management for energy projects or renewable energy financing, coupled with expertise in operational cost control, is also required.

You'll be proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills across various groups, including peers, management, and stakeholders. A quick learner with the ability to understand renewable energy technologies' operability and performance expectations is crucial.
