  • The role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with all teams at PIC to secure their buy-in and implement improvements to systems, processes, and technology, as appropriate.
  • To apply knowledge and insights concerning Operational Resilience and how this impacts our policyholders.
  • To deliver strong business outcomes relating to capital, profitability, the Company brand and market reputation whilst achieving positive outcomes to our policyholders, shareholders, and stakeholders on a consistent basis.
  • To work with the Head of Business Continuity Management to ensure compliance to all the regulatory requirements for Operational Resilience/Business Continuity are documented and evidenced to a high standard.
  • To support the regular update and maintenance of Operational Resilience documentation, working with the team to further embed the Operational Resilience framework, supporting the exercising and training programme, testing plans, conducting BIAs and other responsibilities.
  • Producing clear and accurate MI and reporting by way of Operational Resilience dashboards.
  • Our Company values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role. Specific accountabilities assigned to the role of Operational Resilience Analyst within the Business Services:
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of the agreed annual scenario testing programme.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports reflective of the intended audience that demonstrate sound analysis and recommendations for Operational Resilience as part of the ongoing governance processes.
  • Effectively collaborates with stakeholders at all levels throughout the business.
  • Takes ownership for their own learning and development in both technical (e.g. data analysis and critical judgement) and non-technical (self-insight and relationship management) skills of Business Continuity Management/Operational Resilience.
  • Keeps informed of industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes in the public and private sectors, as well as best practices related to Operational Resilience by attending industry seminars, reading and sharing relevant published articles.

    Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of the PRA/FCA regulations for Operational Resilience
  • Familiar with the BCI GPG (Good Practice guidelines)
  • Established knowledge of tools and techniques used for the creation and maintenance of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs)
  • Skills:
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly
  • Ability to organise work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within defined procedures as recommended by functional teams
  • Commercial judgement
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
  • Experience:
  • BCI qualification preferred
  • Experience in developing and implementing business continuity and crisis management plans.
  • Experience working in financial services.
