Full Job Description

As Operational Efficiency Manager you'll plan and implement Depot and Processing revisions including method improvement, workflow & balance and staffing alterations, within the guidelines of national agreements. Identifying improvement opportunities is key as you'll observe current processes, identify weaknesses to deliver method improvements for depots, processing and depot mechanisation solutions. You'll design and deploy Autumn Pressure solutions (short term satellite depots, from initial planning to deployment of temporary operational sites), including decisions on the most cost effective and quality protecting resolutions and contribute to plans for long term depots (new depots / depot moves) in line with PFW's five-year property strategy. Using your well-defined communication skills, you'll manage supplier relationships and continue/develop the PFW IE / CWU IE relationship. Furthermore, you'll support and plan changes to Operations IT by acting as a user / tester for processing & depots and Update PFW's IE database.

  • Experience of project management to include cost modelling, root cause analysis and report writing and business case compilation.
  • Strong influencing, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Good IT and PFW data sources knowledge.
  • Strong IT skills especially advanced Excel.
  • Extensive PFW UK Network / pipeline knowledge.
  • Knowledge of PFW & Unions National Agreements.
  • Industrial Engineering Qualification is preferable with a minimum commitment to attaining M.O.S.T. accreditation in the future.
  • PRINCE 2 / Agile Project management qualification is preferable with a commitment to attaining the appropriate accreditation.
