The Operations Manager will play a central role in delivering the operations plan within budget and supporting TLA's mission of connecting automotive brands with consumers on an unprecedented scale. This role offers the opportunity to enhance strategic alignment, foster cross-departmental efficiency, and contribute directly to TLA's ambitious expansion goals. Your Role at TLA: As Operations Manager, you will lead the coordination of TLA's work streams, ensuring seamless execution across departments. You'll be at the heart of our mission to scale operations, driving the efficiency and innovation needed to take TLA international by 2025. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Work streams: Oversee all activities within Jira (a project management and issue-tracking software), ensuring workflows are assigned, tracked, and completed efficiently.
- Daily Operations Meetings: Facilitate daily 9 am meetings to align team priorities, address issues, and set clear objectives for the day.
- Operational Plan Management: Drive the execution of the operational plan, ensuring projects are on schedule and budget, and fully aligned with TLA's strategic direction.
- VSA Panel Participation: Participate in the Value Stick Assessment (VSA) panel to evaluate new projects, providing insights on operational feasibility, alignment, and budget considerations.
- Steering Group Leadership: Lead a 6-weekly Automotive Steering Group with key stakeholders to review project progress, industry trends, and strategic priorities.
- Team Support: Actively support team members facing project delays or challenges, maintaining momentum across all workstreams., The success of the Operations Manager will be evaluated based on:
- Operational Plan Delivery & Budget Adherence: Achieve or exceed 90% of operational milestones within the first year while staying within budget.
- Reduction in Project Delays: Aim for a 20% reduction in project delays through efficient tracking and prioritisation within Jira.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Improve interdepartmental efficiency, fostering a cohesive, budget-aligned work environment.
- Efficiency in Steering Group Outputs: Demonstrate strategic alignment and actionable outcomes from the 6-weekly Automotive Steering Group meetings.
Project Management Tools: Proficiency in Jira or similar platforms to manage workflows and monitor budget adherence. - Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and ensure clear communication on operational goals and budget expectations.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: A data-driven approach to refining processes in line with budgetary constraints. Experience Required:
- Industry Insight: Knowledge of operational best practices, with experience in lead generation or automotive sectors preferred but not required.
- Cross-Functional Experience: Experience working in a multi-departmental environment, with exposure to engineering, data and insights, product development, commercial, and marketing. Ideal Candidate Profile: We're looking for a strategic thinker who combines analytical expertise with practical experience in managing complex workflows. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to problem-solving, a focus on budget control, and a passion for helping TLA scale internationally.
- Strategic & Budget-Focused: Able to align operational details with broader strategies and budgetary goals to support TLA's growth objectives.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to drive team alignment and communicate effectively with stakeholders on budget constraints.
- Project Management Expertise: Proven experience with tools like Jira, adept at managing priorities, timelines, and budget.
- Process Improvement Focus: Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing data-driven improvements to streamline operations within budget.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Able to adjust to TLA's specific processes and changing priorities, displaying resilience in managing strategic and operational demands.
- Client-Centric Mindset: A focus on operational efficiencies that impact client satisfaction, with a commitment to delivering improvements that enhance client experience. Qualifications:
- MBA Degree: An advanced degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: 2-3 years in operations, project management, or consulting, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and budget adherence.
- Preferred Industry Insight: Knowledge of the automotive or lead generation industry is advantageous.
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a bonus of up to 50% of salary based on performance., Hybrid work model (2 days in-office, 3 days remote) - Private healthcare following a successful probation period
- Discretionary summer hours and generous annual leave starting at 22 days
