Our Building Services team are looking for a (Job Title) to join the team (on-site at

  • location or on one of our projects) in (Location). The purpose of the role will be (to ensure organisational effectiveness to deliver the operation of the estate's services, within budget and to carry out the Trust's business within defined limits.
  • To lead the delivery team in all PPM and reactive works activities for the new RLH, and TAWB buildings and to ensure a safe, secure and seamless service is provided to the agreed contract specification. Working as part of the RLH Skanska senior management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices) Our Global Healthcare Centre of Excellence shares best practice from over 400 projects across the world, to deliver new approaches to our healthcare projects. We help to manage and reduce hospital energy use, cutting carbon emissions and reducing waste disposal costs. You'll: To implement and improve the operational systems, processes and policies to facilitate the most effective and efficient delivery organisation, specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. To manage the financial performance of the delivery team against budget including: - + Setting strategy for overtime + Continuously review the productivity levels of Skanska directly employed Technicians, Engineers, Craftsperson's and Assistants, ensuring full utilisation with a view to minimising sub-contractor spend + Defining the recruitment strategy + Managing financial penalties for non adherence to contractual SLA's relating to the delivery of Planned and reactive work + Setting strategy for training budget for Delivery Team Ensure that the skills and competencies of Skanska Engineers, Technicians and Delivery Managers are appropriate to need. Specifically ensure that checks on the competencies of Engineers and Technicians are sufficient to assure they are fit to undertake the work on which they will be deployed To effectively manage the activities of the Delivery Team, in particular direct line reports; duties will include: - + Ensure Skanska and Agenda for Change policies are adhered to particularly regarding management of absence, performance, grievance and disciplinary etc. + To carry out appraisals on team members and develop training plans and ensure that skills matrices are updated. + Employee relations activities To be a key contact and to build and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with members of the delivery team and colleagues both within Skanska Estates and Facilities Department and Royal London Hospitals NHS Trust.

  • Degree level or equivalent within specialism.
  • Knowledge of the full range of administrative and organisational policies and procedures
  • 4 years experience of administrative supervision
  • A high-level understanding of spreadsheet and database applications
  • Desirable
  • Have formal training in performance improvement techniques e.g. Lean, Six sigma etc.
  • Experience of working in a hospital environment
