Ophthalmic Practitioner with an Interest in Research and Education

An opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our multidisciplinary team of Consultant Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Orthoptists, Ophthalmic Nurses and Health Care colleagues providing Eye Care services across Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

The post is open to any Qualified Nurse, Orthoptist or Optometrist., The post holder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload, namely patients requiring intravitreal injection treatment as part of a multidisciplinary eye care team within medical retina clinics. Flexibility for delivery of subspeciality and core profession clinics dependant on experience.

The post holder will also work with the team to support delivery of education and training across the team.

They will also be expected to work alongside the Trust research team to facilitate participation in Ophthalmology research studies

We employ more than 6,500 staffwho deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals,Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, healthcentres and in patients' homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.

We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children's and young people's services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.

We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.
