Full Job Description

  • Lead outbound prospecting and negotiations for subscription sales, overseeing the process from lead generation to closure.
  • Shape the sales strategy by providing insights on opportunities, account specifics, and market trends.
  • Support account management by proactively identifying upsell opportunities and fostering account growth.
  • Manage the B2B student project, ensuring alignment with the marketing team and other business units.
  • Brief and collaborate with the marketing team to develop and refine sales collateral, promotional materials and campaign assets that engage clients.
  • Innovate and think creatively to maximise revenue potential, integrating other business areas such as advertising, Times+, events, and licensing into discussions as appropriate.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to optimise results and drive continuous improvement.

    Experience in sales or partnerships, ideally within media, publishing, or subscription-based sectors, with a proven track record in outbound sales.
  • Strong and confident negotiator with a proven ability to achieve sales targets ideally within a subscription-based or partnerships-focused environment.
  • Commercially minded and proficient in creating persuasive sales materials and presentations.
  • Experience in leading, negotiating and finalising contracts.
  • Skilled using CRM tools and sales tracking software to manage leads and monitor progress.
