Great opportunity to join our Pensions Data Solutions Team as a Pensions Lead Data Consultant working hybrid based out of either London, Reigate, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or our Edinburgh office. Our data services span a broad range of clients with different UK pension administration operations and our solutions are delivered within the team, often in conjunction with other WTW business, or sometimes alongside third parties. We have an increasing demand for individuals who understand the legacy Defined Benefit pension environment and the way that member data is held, processed, and used by pension administrators. We have a need for individuals with technical expertise to help develop and implement solutions for a wide range of pension schemes. The candidate will be client facing and will work closely with technical leads, project managers and other specialists within the team . They will be responsible for delivering quality Data Solutions services for our clients and will play a leading role in a range of technical projects, taking responsibility for successful delivery and implementation of the work.   • As a client facing project lead you will work directly with our clients to understand their business requirements so that data solutions can be tailored to meet these objectives
  • Deliver advice and a range of deliverables to Pension Managers, Trustee boards and other key client contacts, liaising effectively across a variety of seniority levels with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage collaboratively with the Data Solutions leads and team members to deliver quality outcomes for clients
  • Prepare effective data strategies, project approaches, and lead the team to deliver against the plan to meet the client's key requirements
  • Help improve and evolve processes and deliverables across Data Solutions service lines
  • Builds effective working relationships with administrators, actuaries, legal advisers, and client representatives.
  • In addition to client consulting, the candidate should be comfortable with business development and sales fundamentals and show aptitude and keenness to grow our business and develop their commercial skills. Candidates will need to pay close attention to the financial areas of our business including clear scoping, management of time and budgets and adherence to established billing practices. You will be expected to promote best practices and bring new ideas to address client needs with a sharp business focus that helps maintain quality throughout the project life cycle. You will be self-motivated to meet deadlines on multiple client projects in a fast-moving environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of UK Pension Scheme provisions and legislation
  • An ability to tailor delivery of complex or technical materials to the audience; ensuring that key issues are presented in a clear, concise and confident manner
  • A proven track record in developing and managing several opportunities and projects simultaneously
  • A demonstrable focus on client satisfaction, balanced with business needs
  • Comfortable taking a proactive role to ensure client satisfaction through project work and willingness to grow new and existing client relationships
  • Experience in leading and presenting at client meetings
  • Experience in owning key financial areas of projects including pricing, scoping and billing
  • Knowledge of the role of the pensions administrator and the common UK administration systems
  • A working knowledge of data and calculation auditing, cleansing and different data correction projects
  • Experience in GMP correction projects is preferable
  • A good understanding of manual benefit calculations and processes
  • A firm commitment to delivering high quality service
  • Inquisitive, self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
