Full Job Description
- The 1200 Series Platform Development team are responsible for developing and managing robust engine and aftertreatment calibrations focused on meeting complex regulatory, business and customer requirements.
- The team applies deep technical knowledge to data analysis, converting data into decisions, generating technical review and sign-off material, to ensure that our product recipe is of the highest quality and delivered on time.
- This is a highly visible team that works directly with all areas of engineering and will, at times, report out directly to our product groups.
- Working closely with the Performance Systems Integration engineering team to define & deliver robust methods in achieving the Product Objectives and Technical Objectives (PO's/TO's) within the IPSD-M 1200 Series product range.
- Working with the GED Test operations team to ensure quality data is achieved and with our Virtual Calibration Team in maximising the value of simulation-based calibration. What You Will Do
- Conduct and/or direct engine tests, calibration, and performance development to support 1200 Series programme requirements.
- Conduct and/or direct tests (including Design of Experiments), checking data quality, test result integrity and repeatability.
- Write requirements, procedures, and reports and formally present on test outcomes.
- Plan, manage and deliver tests to tight time scales and to right quality.
- Collaborate with global team to drive global alignment and best practices
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum - Combustion engine and aftertreatment calibration experience
- Knowledge and experience of various data systems including, but not limited to, CANape, Gryphon, MATlab Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Level Working Knowledge :

- Uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams, etc. to disclose meaningful data patterns.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. - Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.

- Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems. Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Level Working Knowledge:
- Provides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.
- Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and procedural job components.
