Full Job Description

We're recruiting for a Personal Advisor, based in the Children Leaving Care Service. This is a full time Personal Advisor Role based in the East of the County - Burnley. Core objectives:

  • Vulnerable children and young people are safe from harm and build resilience.
  • Children and young people achieve their full potential in education, learning and future employment.
  • Children and young people enjoy heathy lifestyles and know how to help others.
  • Children, young people and families have a voice in shaping the support they receive.
  • Children and young people live in Lancashire where they can enjoy a good quality of life, be happy and want to stay.
  • To deliver these objectives it will be necessary for the post holder:
  • To work as part of the Leaving Care Service, to ensure the development, delivery and continuous improvement of services for children, young people and their families and carers in Lancashire.
  • To work in partnership with colleagues within Children's Social Care to ensure consistency of practice across the county and to promote the development of a supportive collaborative culture across the service.
  • To work in partnership with children and young people, parents and carers, education, health and other agencies/professionals supporting children and young people to provide effective support that improves outcomes for children, young people and their families.
  • To ensure young people leaving care are at the centre of all practice and processes.
  • To ensure children and young people are provided with the right support at the right time.
  • To ensure the effective and efficient use of available resources in support of the well-being and development of children and young people leaving care.
