Full Job Description

We are looking to fill a part time vacancy for a Pharmacy Support Worker within the Pharmacy Department at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

The job involves mainly working within various areas of the Pharmacy department to ensure medicines are available as ward stock or for individual patients, they also support the ward-based teams who work on the front line in a patient-facing role., The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly in supporting the Trust's directive of seven-day working, participating in rotas and/or shift working as necessary including weekend and bank holiday working.

We require the candidate to be experienced in dispensing and you must hold an NVQ2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.

The candidate must have a sound educational background having GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) or proven numeracy/literacy skills to an acceptable level will be required.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible and have the ability to work in a busy and demanding working environment. You will need to be enthusiastic with good communication skills.

Computer literacy would be an advantage.
