Full Job Description

  • Coordinate and direct control room operations for consistent power production and steam turbine operation.
  • Monitor and control process parameters, including flow rates, pressures, and temperatures.
  • Assist Shift Team Leader with plant operation, monitoring, and first-line fault diagnosis.
  • Communicate with the operations team for parameter adjustments and report abnormalities.
  • Take immediate corrective action during emergencies to limit risks to people, equipment, and production.
  • Optimise usage of raw materials, chemicals, and plant utilities.
  • Monitor environmental emissions and maintain compliance through operational adjustments.
  • Prepare operational reports and work with maintenance technicians for troubleshooting.
  • Safely shut down and restart plant sections according to procedures and parameters.
  • Participate in start-up and commissioning of boiler, turbine generator, and plant auxiliaries following shutdowns., We know how important it is to be fully committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive place to work for every one of our colleagues.     Previous experience working in power plants, waste management facilities, marine or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with SCADA/ DCS systems.
  • Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations (IOSH / NEBOSH).
  • Technical qualification - engineering or operational apprenticeship.
  • Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
