Full Job Description

The priority workstreams established for postgraduate medical education for this year as a result of national and local directives include reviewing our workforce development programmes, including Portfolio Pathways (CESR) and core surgery equivalence, and providing support for teaching and simulation.
The postholder will be required to work across the North West London Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) with local Directors of Medical Education in order to scope opportunities for collaboration as part of the Locally Employer Doctor (LED) Career Pathways priority workstream.
LED Career Pathways are alternative training programmes with appropriate, robust governance structures. These local programmes incorporate trust grade posts in rotations, and provide additional incentives including training and academic opportunities, study leave funding, and a clear route for progression, with the aim of making these posts more attractive which has benefits for both the doctor and the Trust. Programmes can include posts solely from within the Trust, or from multiple Trusts across the North West London APC.
They will liaise with a range of stakeholders to develop the implementation plan for the educational framework during a pilot and plan for full roll-out.

Working for our organisation

This fellowship is an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor, who is interested in developing their education portfolio, to significantly develop their management skills and understanding of the operational management of medical education in a large, complex Trust.
