Full Job Description

Our Individual Protection Pricing team are working on an expanding range of exciting projects, including new partnership and proposition developments, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to this team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with propositions development, our external platform partners, and the wider pricing team to contribute towards significant Individual Protection change delivery! This is a great job for someone who can understand the end-to-end calculations that drive customer and reinsurance pricing and provide assurance that these calculations are working as we expect.

You will have opportunity to create and modify tools and processes to deliver developments and testing efficiently and effectively. This will involve working with a range of tools including excel, SQL, Python and other automation technology. An important part of the role will be to clearly identify and articulate issues and resolve them, both independently and as part of the wider team. This will involve complex problem solving and analytical thinking as well as communication with a range of teams. You will need to understand and explain issues and work together with others to identify and implement the solutions. There is an emphasis is on thoroughness and an ability to deal with detail in order to deliver projects that generate value, manage risk and deliver fair customer outcomes for Protection. Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience and understanding of Individual Protection Insurance products
  • Excellent numerical skill and a strong ability to communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues, problems, or defects and to deliver these resolutions safely into the business
  • Strong technical skills, for example in VBA, SQL, PYTHON and Excel with an enthusiasm and ability to develop these skills in a fast-changing environment
  • Enjoyment and capability in working with a range of stakeholders across multiple locations

  • London salary £45,000, National salary £35,000, (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
