Full Job Description

  • The Principal Systems Engineer provides systems engineering and integration support to assess, plan, coordinate, schedule and implement projects from inception through system transition.
  • Problems and issues faced can fluctuate and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem and determine appropriate resolution.
  • This position communicates with many levels of program, other contractor and government stakeholders and works to positively influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures and practices.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are necessary to effectively manage projects in this environment.
  • A key purpose of this position is to manage system integration projects and provide reliable data to the Customer enabling them to make informed decisions regarding the installation, integration checkout and test of operational system modifications and upgrades.

    Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8+ years of prior engineering experience
  • Experience with Systems installation, integration and test experience.
  • Experience with Engineering technical abilities and project management skills.
  • Experience with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor)
  • Experience with Request For Change (RFC) impact reviews and assessment experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

  • Experienced with Customer NSIS and/or rapid delivery methods
  • Evidence of excellent customer relationships
  • Experience working across contract and location boundaries
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence beneficial

  • Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
    • The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
