Full Job Description

We are seeking a Process Improvement Manager, to streamline and elevate our processes based in London, to drive process improvement and optimization within the Amazon Flex business. Specifically, this leader will work directly with the Sub Same Day (SSD) business which is new and exciting business which we are growing to deliver faster speeds and wider selection to our customers. You'll work with management teams to help us meet a number of operational goals through driving stakeholders through WBR, MBR and QBRs. This dynamic role offers plenty of opportunities to continue learning every day. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors - called delivery partners (DPs) - to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems that allows delivery partners to on-board, schedule delivery times, guide them through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, and more. The approach and technology are disruptive and promise to challenge traditional approaches, changing the way the industry operates.,

  • Plan and implement continuous improvement initiatives designed to innovate the driver experience, customer experience, and to make our processes more efficient to reduce our cost
  • Analyse feedback and use data to own and implement process improvements at a network level
  • Work with station management and other stakeholders to identify and solve process-related issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve the Flex business for our drivers and customers, then lead and coordinate large, complicated projects with multiple stakeholders including Product, Technology, Marketing, Customer Support, Legal, PR and Operations.
  • Work with operations teams to develop and share best practices that can be scaled globally.
  • A day in the life As a Process Improvement Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of making Amazon's delivery network better - which means improving safety, productivity, and quality. Your role will require you to go deep into our data to root cause misses to goals or to identify future improvement opportunities and develop plans with operational and technology teams to fix those issues for the short and long term. You will report out business performance metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly level, highlight the key changes made and opportunities that lie ahead and leverage your interpersonal skills to receive buy in and support to deliver those changes. You will play an active part in our long term planning of the program by Thinking Big towards our next large scale opportunities and formulating business cases to have our technology teams build what may be required for the SSD network.

    The successful candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, analytical and detail-oriented, possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, and be comfortable working independently to drive growth and change in a fast-paced environment. An extreme bias for action is an absolute must, and candidates must demonstrate a track record of delivering results.,
  • Obtained a degree in the last 2 years.
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in document writing.
  • Competent in SQL / Python
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience with supporting tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, MS Excel and MS Access) .
