Full Job Description

The Product Research & Analysis Lead will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives at Global University Systems (GUS) by collaborating with diverse GUS entities and working directly under the guidance of the Chief of Staff to the CEO.
This role calls for a highly skilled research professional with a passion for in-depth exploration, critical analysis, and the ability to synthesize insights into comprehensive reports and presentations tailored for senior executives. The ideal candidate will possess both a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, contributing to the organization's future growth and innovation.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
Product Research: Conduct comprehensive research on the higher education product landscape across various jurisdictions. Utilize diverse and innovative channels to gather relevant information and insights effectively.
Gap Analysis: Identify and prioritize gaps in the GUS product portfolio, spanning programs, delivery modes, and locations. Investigate "Jobs of the Future" to anticipate and align with evolving industry needs.
Competitor Mapping: Analyse competitors from the perspectives of key stakeholders, including prospective students, employers, and government bodies. Compare the GUS product offerings with those of competitors to identify opportunities for differentiation.
Opportunity Evaluation: Assess the feasibility, risks, and potential returns of new opportunities to expand the GUS product portfolio through organic growth strategies.
Market Positioning: Examine market perceptions of products within the GUS portfolio. Identify key differentiators and areas for enhancement to strengthen market positioning.
Deliver Outputs: Produce well-structured, concise, and insightful briefs based on product research and analysis. Regularly share findings and outputs with relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with multiple GUS entities, balancing their unique needs with the drive for progress. Demonstrate strong instincts and initiative in engaging stakeholders proactively.
Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief of Staff to the CEO and other Executive team members, embodying confidence, humility, and professionalism in all interactions.
Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine outputs. Demonstrate a commitment to quality and adaptability by quickly implementing necessary adjustments.
Adaptability & Humility: Approach work with a flexible mindset, tailoring your style to align with the needs of different GUS entities. Exhibit a "no task is too small" attitude and maintain a positive, proactive approach to all responsibilities.
Multiple Workstreams: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, identifying synergies across workstreams and integrating them into deliverables for enhanced efficiency and impact.
Deadline Management: Provide realistic time estimates for tasks and communicate timelines clearly to stakeholders. Monitor deadlines proactively, offering early warnings and proposing mitigation plans if risks to deadlines arise.

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in large, dynamic organizations, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex structures and processes.
