Programme Lead - Children's Services

The Programme Lead will support the Managing Director of St George's and General Manager for Children's Services by leading the programme of work to ensure the safe and effective transfer of the Principal Treatment Centre (PTC) for cancer in South London from RMH/ SGUH to the Evelina.
The successful candidate will work to ensure the PTC transfer programme of work aligns strategically with internal work at SGUH and the development of the Group Children's Services strategy. They will also support the scoping and delivery of associated work projects as SGUH looks to define and implement new service opportunities longer term following exit from PTC service delivery.
The successful candidate will have strong programme management skills to lead the programme internally, managing workstreams, risk, interdependencies and crucially developing and maintaining key relationships for the Trust with partners at the RMH, Evelina and NHS England., + Establish a programme structure and manage resources to deliver the requirements for SGUH of the transition of the PTC. This will include implementing the appropriate workstreams (clinical, finance, HR/ workforce, estates, contracting & finance, comms and engagement, IT/ Digital, quality/risk/governance, stakeholder management etc.) and internal meeting structures.
+ Lead other members of the programme team in carrying out rigorous project planning, identifying all required activities, setting milestones and identifying activity owners. Then monitoring and tracking project progress against the plan, making adjustments if targets are not met, and providing recommendations for adjusting plans, strategies, or tasks to the relevant governance forum
+ Manage the whole programme lifecycle through to effective closure ensuring excellent governance throughout
+ Put in place appropriate systems for the management of risk including escalation points as required
+ Deliver detailed programme reports to senior staff as required
+ Manage the delivery of benefits and track realisation of project/programme outcomes.
+ Support and deliver all associated organisational change required from the overarching programme of work and associated projects
