Full Job Description

This role is within the Programme Controls team of the programme. The team are responsible for ensuring all PC artefacts are delivered in line with the Programme Evidence and Assurance Plan, including an Integrated Schedule, Performance Management Baseline and Reporting, whilst facilitating the Programmes progression through the Project Maturity Model.

  • The role requires a self-starter with the ability and flexibility to navigate a busy and varied programme of work, covering four delivery workstreams across multiple SDA sites and Industry Partners, along with oversight of the associated project, commercial and finance functional deliverables.
  • The role holder will need to be comfortable with detail of such a complex programme of work and the uncertainty that comes with delivering the change required to deliver the programmes ambition.
  • The programme is required to monitor and influence dependencies across the Defence Nuclear Enterprise and therefore the post holder will have a proven track record of maintaining relationships across a network of stakeholders, often interacting with those senior to them to realise programme-level outcomes.
  • Delivering at pace from day one, previous experience of delivering project controls in a challenging and dynamic environment is highly desirable.
  • The programme is to be delivered in accordance with Knowledge in Defence (KiD), the Capability Management Practitioners' Guide (CMPG) , the IPA Project Routemap, the Government Functional Standard GovS002: Project Delivery, and the Defence Project Delivery Standards and therefore a working knowledge of these is highly desirable.
