What you'll be doing

You will collaborate closely with the Business Architect (BA), sponsors, and stakeholders to understand project needs and define clear objectives, scope, and deliverables. You will develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies while managing budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial constraints. Proactively identifying risks and challenges, you will create mitigation plans to address potential issues and maintain project momentum.

Throughout the project lifecycle, you will actively manage progress, scope, budget, risks, resources, dependencies, stakeholders, vendors, and requirements, escalating issues to the Programme Manager, Project Sponsor, or Project Board when necessary. You will also work with our Test Centre of Excellence to implement robust testing and quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with auditability regulations in collaboration with our Governance Team. Additionally, you will handle project changes and scope adjustments, evaluating their impact and guiding the team to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet customer expectations.

You should be well-versed in project management methodologies, tools, and software, with a strong ability to manage costs and focus on achieving project outputs. The role requires exceptional organisational and time management skills, along with the capability to handle multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.

Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You will also provide mentoring and coaching support to others, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. While project management certifications are advantageous, the ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive successful outcomes is paramount.

Alongside a salary between £60,000 - £70,000, depending on experience and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.
