Full Job Description

The Project Manager for Commercial Change will oversee the planning, development and delivery of commercial change within SCS London Tunnels. The role requires leadership, excellent stakeholder management and a strong understanding of commercial and contract principles (NEC) in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure changes are implemented efficiently while aligning with project objectives, contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.,

  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation and progress reports for implementing changes
  • Co-ordinate with pan-project multidisciplinary teams to ensure all elements of change are recovered and aligned
  • Track and report progress against key milestones
  • Change Management
  • Lead the identification, assessment and implementation of commercial changes arising from Client issued change, design changes and SCS driven change
  • Facilitate change control process, ensuring all changes are properly documented, approved and communicated
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to negotiate and agree CEs, through to implementation and value/time adjustment

Develop a culture of safety on the project through the absolute commitment to the Zero Accidents target and ethos, and develops a wider awareness of quality, environmental issues and demonstrates commitment to achieve continual improvement and Zero tolerance.

  • Strong understanding of NEC and commercial principles
  • Proven experience of Project managing commercial change aspects of a project
  • Excellent project managing skills, including planning, co-ordination and reporting
  • Negotiations and Stakeholder management experience
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving
  • Strong communication and leadership skills., Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity surveying or related discipline
  • Professional accreditation is desirable (MICE, MRICS, MAPM)
  • Proven track record of project managing commercial change on large-scale complex project, A physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term effect (over 12 months) adverse effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated in your application and pre-interview stage that you meet the minimum job criteria and person specification for the role

    The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK's new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK's 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
  • The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
