Full Job Description

This role is within the Deputy Pg Director and Integrate team of the programme. The DPD & Integrate team are responsible for governance of the programme, including internal and external Boards and forums, Project Delivery Integration across Barrow & Raynesway Infrastructure and Supply Chain workstreams, Approvals and Assurance including planning for Programme BCs and supporting activity planning & artefacts. The team are responsible for Contract Permissioning planning, process and delivery at programme level, requirements, assumption, & dependencies mgmt. For People including establishment, workforce planning, and supply management. This role will be the Pg Demand, Requirements, Assumptions and Dependencies lead and the Pg Enablers & Transversal workstreams (TVW) lead. Scope / Task Deliverables

  • Responsibilities include capturing, maintaining and co-ordinating all aspects of programme demand, requirements, and dependencies from across the DNE and SDA dependent teams.
  • The post holder will be the owner of the Programme User Requirement Document, the Integrated Demand, Assumptions, Dependencies, and any related PD artefacts. This includes the responsibility for authoring and managing changes to these artefacts, as well as all associated stakeholder and dependency management related to them.
  • As the Enablers and TVW lead the post holder will lead the team including civil servants and consultants to specify and plan the workstreams and manage their delivery for the Programme.

    The role requires a self-starter with the ability and flexibility to navigate a busy and varied programme of work, integrating requirements from across four delivery workstreams, including two SDA sites.
  • The role holder will need to be comfortable with detail in a complex programme of work and the uncertainty that comes with delivering the change required to deliver the programmes ambition.
  • The programme is required to monitor and influence requirements capture across the Defence Nuclear Enterprise and SDA dependent teams such as Nuclear Propulsion and SSNA.
  • Therefore, the post holder will have a proven track record of maintaining relationships and managing dependencies across a network of stakeholders and teams, to realise programme-level outcomes.
  • Delivering at pace from day one, previous experience of managing requirements on a high value project or programme is highly desirable.
  • The programme is to be delivered in accordance with Knowledge in Defence (KiD), the Capability Management Practitioners' Guide (CMPG) , the IPA Project Routemap, the Government Functional Standard GovS002: Project Delivery, and the Defence Project Delivery Standards and therefore a working knowledge of these is highly desirable.
