Full Job Description

You will be the first point of contact in Outpatients for patients, staff and visitors. This role is essential to ensuring a positive patient experience throughout their visit.

  • Undertake outpatient charges
  • Update and maintain accurate patient information using our Electronic Patient Record system
  • Welcome, consultants, patients and their relatives/visitors into Outpatients, ensuring that security measures are adhered to
  • Provide administrative tasks to support the clinical team
  • Answer Outpatient Reception telephone enquires promptly, efficiently and politely, resolving local issues and referring on to other relevant departments as appropriate
  • Ensure that the reception desk and waiting areas are maintained in a presentable manner
  • Observe and maintain the confidentiality of patient records and staff information
  • Facilitate and book future appointments for the nurse outpatient clinic
